Happy valentines day lovelies! I am sending my love all around the world- and I hope everyone has a day that's filled with love. Ok I hope that I have a day thats filled with love (just sayin').
I know that all the other girls at work are going to be sent flowers by their boyfriends/husbands/secret admirerers. And I'm just gonna have to deal with it.
Here are some conversations I'm expecting to have today:
Random person at work: "Hey Liz! All the girls have gotten/are getting flowers sent to them! Is anyone sending you flowers today?"
Me: "Nope, no one is gonna be sending me any flowers. But it's ok, I hate flowers anyways (no I don't, I love flowers)
Another random person at work: "Hey Liz! What are you doing tonight? Got a hot date planned for valentines day?"
Me: "Nope. No hot dates planned... I'm single, And I'm perfectly fine with it. Also, that was so thoughtful of your husband to send you three dozen roses and a diamond bracelet to the office! And you're so lucky he made you breakfast in bed this morning! And I love it when you tell me all the wonderful/awesome/amazing things he's done for you today! (no I don't, and no I'm not bitter or jealous at all)"
Final random person at work: "How was your weekend? I'm sure you had a nice dinner with someone special...?"
Me: "Nope."
Rando at work: "Oh, we'll I'm sure you did something fun and exciting?
Me: "Well on Saturday I got drunk on skinnygirl margaritas and watched two Ryan Gosling movies and maybe ate 10-12 Oreos and then color coordinated my closet and played tetris on my iPad for 2 hours. So yes, it was beyond exciting."
Rando: "Hahahahaha oh Liz! You are so funny sometimes!"
In all reality, I did have a very fun (and appropriately single) weekend. Friday night consisted of seeing The Vow. Has anyone else seen it? Um, Channing Tatum anyone? He is so heavenly. Also, I forgot what middle school girls are like. I don't love sharing a theater with 85 million of them.
And my Saturday night was spent pretty much the way I described it above. Throw in a little project runway all stars and Zooey Deschanel on SNL and I call it a pretty successful valentines day weekend. Albeit a little pathetic, I think it's perfectly fine and normal to chill out with my dvr all weekend long!
As far as tonight goes, I'm treatin it like any other normal Tuesday. So home from work around 6/7 and in bed by 9! It's a glamorous life, but someone has to live it. And I threw in this pic of Gladys because she loves me no matter what.
